The Boredom of Neopets

Dear Neopet Users,
I'm assuming this site still posts the emails sent to it, but even if it doesn't, I'd like to at least feel like I've gotten this out of my system. I began playing neopets way back, and I actually don't even remember what year it was. I'm going to assume I was 8, so in 2000 I began playing this "game".
My cousin had heard about it from school, and she told me to make a pet. Her 7 other brothers and sisters also had pets, and we all played. I quit later that year because I rarely got online, and then two years later, the game was advertised on tv and I made my way back. I had forgotten my old username, and so I started over. I told my best friend about the game, and we journeyed into the then small world of Neopets. Every night after school, we played for hours and ate our dinner at the computer.
Until one day, I was bored of the game, and quit. That is when I went to another site called Gaiaonline, that in my opinion, is even worse than Neopets, in that they want you to spend $10 or more for nice items, and then they ban (freeze) you for no reason, and it even says in the contract that it perfectly okay to do.
So once again, over a year later, I decided to play again. I was in the hospital with Cancer and had nothing to do online, but this time, I remembered my username. It wouldn't let me log in with my information, so I emailed neopets. Over two months later, there was a reply saying that the account had been idle for too long, and so it wasn't accessible. It wasn't literally frozen, although they might as well say it was, because I couldn't get on it.
Very upset, I only started over because my friend did, and we made it a competition to see who could get the most points. We played for quite awhile, then got bored again.
This is when I discovered that the game is only good the first few months, because there are new games and things to do. After that, it takes almost a year to recover from boredom, and once again, the game is fun for a while. I never got a cool paint brush, I never had a rare pet. My shop always sucked, my items weren't special. I had no trophies, and I sucked at battles. I'll never be cool on this game, and I'll never have any real friends on it. Neopets makes crappy games, their contests suck, the site is always messed up, and there's thousands of updates they could have to make things better, but they don't.
My advice to anyone is, if you waiting for it to get better, give up. It's only gotten worse.
