My old account was cheezyneo. I used to be a TCer. You know, making quite a bit of NP the advnaced way by dealing in getting items dirt cheap
and selling 'em. It started off innocently. I'd been playing neopets for about 2 years, and found this way and latched onto it to make myself some
extra cash (I'd been off and on with neopets) BUT, then the thought of NP got me hooked... and hooked... I started playing AT LEAST 7 hours a day.
My homeowork started to slack off. I lived for neopets. I was hooked, addicted.
Then one day I lost a LOT of np. I was devestated. At least 3/4's of my np due to items being downgraded. I was shocked. It
was a wake-up call for me, though. I thought, why should I be devestated and completley crushed when its just a bunch of pixels? No,
I thought. I shouldn't. I thought about quitting. But I was addicted. I wanted my fortune back.
Then one day I noticed something.... New TCers started to come in... and the old rich TCers didn't like this. Why, they thought,
they're taking our np! So they started to harrass these players. I watched in disgust as they'd flame them, tell others to ignore
them etc and talk out in public about how these new TCers were bad. I watched the new TCers have quite a bit of backbone and try
to ignore it. But I didn't like it. So I started to take sides. I started to tell those old TCers to stop it. They retaliated. I
kept going. As I watched these TCers try and fight me off it was clearly obvious: They had quite a bit of power. Soon, the account
I had been fighting them off was frozen. I have no idea why. The neopets team said I was "spamming." Which I was not. Infact, each
time I created a board that had something to do with it I purposley made it a legal board. BUT, those old TCers came, and reported.
Then, they'd flame me. Insult me. I'd calmly tell them what they were doing was wrong. They'd flame and insult me some more. I reported
some when it got pretty bad, but it was a waste of my time. They never got frozen.
I started to gain supporters, too. Mostly new TCers. But a couple were old TCers. I had some people who would come to my boards and
fight the fight calmly with me. I made neofriends. I was a time of havoc. The new TCers were gaining power, the old TCers were losing
it. This also happened to fall in the time of the great trading "glitch" when everyone who traded something got their items sent to
someone else. So rich old TCers were loosing their life savings and quitting. Not only that, though, but it was chaos. The time when
the new TCers were taking over. But the old TCers did not give up the fight. They froze another one of my accounts, and 1 person had
the nerve to creat cheezyneo 4,5,6 (I think those numbers... maybe a 7 or 8 as well) and have them post insulting themselves.
Finally, one day I tried to log onto cheezyneo. Yep, they'd backtracked... and finally got my account frozen. I was actually quite glad.
It helped me break away from neopets. Now I had no rich ties to make me stay there. I was free to go. The bond that was making me stay there,
my pets, and my np, was no more. The last straw was gone. I quickly signed into another one of my acounts just to check things. I said my
goodbyes. I had done my thing. The new TCers at that point in time had a lot of power. Old TCers had been frozen, NOT due to flamming other
members, but due to bidding on auctions which had duplicated items.
And so I left. I finally left, after about 3 years I left. However, recently I returned. I asked about the trading chat board if anyone
remembered cheezyneo. One person laughed at said they remembered me, but most people now wouldn't as new TCers had moved in. I started up
another account... using my skills I made my fortune up to 50k already. However, after checking your website again, I've decided to leave.
I don't want to get hooked again. Neopets does. They suck you in. Once you're playing for 7 hours a day, it IS time to leave.
