REASONS WHY NEOPETS SUCKS

1. The constant and continued favouritism from TNT to users like featheralley: It totally sucks that people who already have a billion NP, painted pets, rare items, popular guild – the whole shebang, get MORE MORE MORE from TNT just because they are the favourites. For example, one of the favourites had a list of how many Faerie quests she’d been given and it was something like 57 Earth faerie quests, 84 Air faerie quests etc. since June. Now these people already have everything (erm…pixels) they could ever want, and yet TNT ‘randomly’ allow them to win even more prizes by giving them a quest every five minutes. Whatever happened to helping out the users who have been loyally playing hard for 5 years, never getting a brass farthing from TNT, instead doing it all themselves? And for that matter, how come I’ve been playing Neopets for nearly six years and the most I’ve ever won from the the Fruit Machine is an ummagine, and some user with 5 trillion NP who already has a billion paint brushes in her shop, wins a Christmas paint brush on one spin? ‘Random’ my ass.
2. The way people are soooooo paranoid about people pretending to be them that they have all the stuff on their user lookup: “If they can’t neomail you from this account, they’re not me.” Do people seriously think they are that awesome that someone will create a fake account just to scam people out of FAKE money? If you get your kicks pinching pixels off people, get a freaking life. And for that matter, if someone does take your precious NP, get over it. Get off the computer and get a life in the real world, where you can actually get something worthwhile in real life.
3. TNT icing people left and right, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week: People who have worked really hard for their account get frozen just because…oh that’s right, we don’t know why! And no matter how many times you neomail TNT, they just completely ignore you, or respond with some completely insufficient answer that doesn’t tell you anything about why you were frozen. Seriously, I have no idea why TNT gives a rats if people are stupid enough to neomail each other their passwords. If you are dumb enough to allow yourself to get hacked, that’s your lookout. And the problems TNT have with people posting ‘outside URLs’ on the site? Is that so you don’t click on them and allow other people to earn money and not just the money-sucking Neopets Corporation? You can bet your right arm it is.
4. And finally, when you stop to think about it, there is no point to Neopets. Yeah, you might have ULTIMATE RICHES, five paint brushes for sale in your shop, and pets that have been on the lab ray, but at the end of the day, when you get off the computer, you have pretty much accomplished nothing. Because in the REAL world, no one cares what an expert you are at Neopets. It isn’t going to help you get a job or a boyfriend, and you can’t use your NP to buy a house. And if it cheers you up, just think: ‘dedicated’ users like featheralley (if he/she is even real) obviously spend so much time on the computer that they are probably overweight and poor, because they spend so much money on buying fancy computer programs to create their graphics and keeping up their internet connection. When it all comes down to it, just because they have a Halloween Lupe and you only have a Red Gelert, it doesn’t make any of them better than you.
