How I got Addicted to Neopets

Hi! I’m Mika, and I was addicted to neopets. Like full on addicted. Like my grades were slipping ever so slightly because of it. But’ let us move on with the story.
I was supremely elated that day in July two years and a couple of months ago. One of the most popular nine year olds of my grade level had invited me over to her house! I was so thrilled. I had also just gotten back from my first year of Girl Scout Camp. Well, at the girl’s house we played with her cat, watched TV, and then, we got on the computer. She logged on to one of her two accounts and began to show me the tricks of the trade. She told me how neopets was all the rage around then. It was really popular. She told me to go home and have my mom help me set up an account and to tell her about it the next day. So naturally, that’s exactly what I did. I rushed home and ran into the house. After telling my mom about neopets she told me to show her the site and she would make here decision. After showing her the site she hesitantly decided to let me create an account. After thinking a long while I decided and made the name camppineacres and made a pet called campercamper457. I played the games with my slow dial up and slowly forgot about it. Almost two years later I remembered neopets. I had just gotten my own laptop for my 11th birthday and our family finally got BellSouth hi speed internet. While sitting playing on the computer I remembered Neopets and said Oh yeah, why don’t I go back there? I couldn’t remember camppineacres so I just made a new account. A couple of weeks later I remembered the login details to neopets and logged back into camppineacres. A lot of things had changed. I quickly, though, began to learn and create a successful account. This is where I became addicted. I forgot about Drama Club, practicing my clarinet and alto, and Tech Ed Club. I still was in for the worst because all this came in second to when I started forgetting projects in the seventh grade. I don’t want this anymore. All the days I spend Neopets free are the days I enjoy the most. I don’t want to live this anymore. Thanks for nothing TNT and SCREW YOU!
