Hi, this is someone from neopets.

I agree with the whole anti-neopets thing. I've been playing for about... 1 year? And guess what. I've become more addicted to it everyday. There are days when I stay up till 5:00 AM slaving to it. Now that I look back, I feel really stupid. I used to be a straight A student. Call me a geek, But it's true. Ever since my friend told me about neopets, I've started playing it.
My old account was darkmaster22180, and yes. I was a huge, fucking scammer. I hated myself for it. I made this huge guild, had about 150 members in it, and told everyone my dad was working for TNT and that if they gave me their passwords, I would give them
eahc a paint brush of their wish. A few, pathetic pixels.
Guess what? They believed it. I scammed their accounts, got at least 123k, and left. I started with a new
account, and haven't been on that one since. But after that whole year... I've slowly gotten more addicted.
First, I just kept on lying to my parents saying that I needed to do computer
Homework. And instead of doing my homework, I went on neopets. Played games. Slaved. It led to my parents thinking that it takes me at least 8 hours to do my homework. And yes. The whole 8 hours I was slaved to neo.
Why? Because I couldn't control myself. Wanted to make myself "famous" with fake items, all pixels
made by HTML.
Then, it led to e going on for at least 12 hours a day. Stayed up past 2:00 AM, even on school nights. I had to get glasses for the fist time in my life, because of the
Light reflecting from the computer monitor. It made me feel... I don't know what it made me feel. Worried. Hurt.. Disgusted with myself.
Couldn't stop.
Then, a few months later, I started lying even more. We have this huge slideshow project for school. Everyone has over 150 slides in
theirs, and guess what. I have only 83. Why? Because of neopets. I spent over 10 hours online, trying to do my
slideshow, But instead, found myself going to neopets. If any of my friends had that much time to work on their slideshow, they'd be up to 300 slides.
Then, I got my first D in math. In my life. It was because of neopets I spent up all night playing the dumb game, when I
should've been studying. I scraped through the rest of the quarter with an A for my report card grade.
Finally... I played neo so much, it probably wrecked my computer or something. My computer broke down. It was so bad, it was like I was daydreaming about neo during school.
Didn't pay any attention. Lagging up on my studies.
NEO IS A BIG FAKE. THIS GOES TO EVERYONE.
I hate it now, but I still cant stop.
It's gotten to where I spend at least 3 hours on it before i go to school.
But after I found your site, my life has changed a bit.
I'm seriously trying to stop.
This goes to everyone...
NEO IS A FAKE.
THE ITEMS YOU ALL WANT? THEY ARE JUST PIXELS.
PIXELS. FUCKING CRAPPY PIXELS.
PLUS: YOUR NEOFRIENDS AREN'T YOUR REAL FRIENDS.
Why? You dont know them in person. If you get sick, they "send" you a neopets
greeting card. Full of pixels.
They're hurting you, your neofriends. Do they care a bit about you? Probably not. In fact, they're hurting you more b sending you stuff. They're making your more addicted. So just tell them, "I'm quitting neopets' End of story. They ask you why? Tell the about the
anti-neo site. Make them believe it.
PLEASE STOP WITH NEOPETS,
It may be fun at first, but it becomes addicting.
Don't turn out like me.
My life is a mess now.
All because of neopets.
Believe me.
This is a real person here, and well... I just want what's best for you. For
everyone.
Don't spend your life on neo. Would you be playing neo maybe... 20 years from now? Probably not. You need a life. To go o college.
Get a good job. Get married and have kids, even.
But what will your future husband think if he sees you playing neopets?
He'll fucking dump you. That easy.
So. I've never shared this with anyone. In my whole life.
