Hiya,
My name is Gracie and I was a very addicted person to neopets. I was just looking for some stupid guides on the dailies when I saw your page. I read it all and I found it a very rebellious and actually brought into a very good perspective.
I'm 16 and I will go on neopets, just to play the crappy games and sell the food that I restock. I will have 10,000 nps in my hand and 17,000+ in my bank (maybe even more, I don't check). I only returned to neopets just recently from a 3 year hiatus and all of a sudden I have noticed many changes from it all.
I have noticed I have been luckier in my gaming. My pets will gain points, I will get more points in my gaming and I even won the Dice-a-roo jackpot. I even won cheat! for the first time.
Now you might say its because I have grown older and wiser (I'm definately not wiser if I still go on this shithole (pardon my language)) that I won these games but I feel its because I DID play games non-stop and sold neopoints and restocked.
I have noticed, since I have had the same account since 6th grade (I am a sophomore in high school) that things are certainly changing. I noticed the card game and I even bought a few plushies (The Halloween Aisha, Purple Chia, and Starry Dragon....thingie). Is this the work of The Man?
I am quite the person that defies "The Man" (yet I will go on Myspace, Habbo, and other misc things). I refuse to listen to the radio anymore because The Man has laid his nasty money-making fingers upon the great thing known as music and gave shitty bands a chance to shine (i.e. Panic! at the Disco, Fall Out Boy, and flippin' Paris Hilton). Hell, I don't even watch MTV anymore because they don't even play music anymore! The only time they will is when the kids are in school. I, instead, support my local scene (it is dying however, because the fans are fucktarded) and listen to bands that deserve my attention over K-Fed.
What was the reason for my last paragraph? To show that The Man has hit the innocent thing known as Fake Pixelated Entertainment. He's everywhere man. He will even destroy the internet, which feeds us useless information (unless you are looking for research information, like the highest point of Sicily). Neopets is probably the best example! MickeyD's, Limited Too, the movies. So many things are being drawn in by The Man's aurora and what are we doing? Playing a rip-off of Snake and Tetris (Tetris is the best old school game ever. If I ever see a kid say, "Tetris must be new! Its like GagsGags!", I will put a cap in a seven year old ass. Seriously)
The only solution I have is what you have said. Quit. Its a retarted game anyway. I'd rather play a bad version of The Sims over that.
I am in high school, experimenting with new music and playing in the marching band (which has given me love for writing), in the school newspaper (where I can talk about "The Man"), and finally getting a job at an oldies radio station (Oldies are the classics. You cannot deny the classics).
As an ending paragraph, I will say that I will go on neopets from time to time. Will I like it after I have read your site, No. Will I care? No. I will most likely get bored after a month and go back to doing RPs like I used to do with my sad life (it actually DOES help you with your writing skills. I suggest it very much). But through my retarted ramble and rant, you probably are thinking I'm stoned on pot or PCP. I assure I am not. I have never done drugs in my life. I guess you're crazier when sober. I dunno. I have found that there is something better out there. Neopets is just a place where they steal your money. The Neopets premium is just adding more to why The Man is taking over. I can't stand the even thought of Premium. Free Neopoints! BAH! This will be worse than Habbo, I swear it on my agnostic god. 50.00 a month. You will see.
But I am talking to an expert and not an idiot. You have my respect, sir.

P.S. I attached a picture of the suggestions board. I found it so retarded. I was thinking about posting something about the changes on the suggestions and I just saw that. I shook my head and told myself, "This is the intelligence of the world." Made me want to shoot myself.
