I wonder, really, what happened to the Neopet that I decided to join. The game where you could raise a cute little creature and make friends with fellow Neopians, give them tips, and form a little community called a guild.
When I first joined, I was 9, but I wrote myself off as 13 years old, because only 13 years and older kids are mature and responsible and had more
privileges. Yet I'm still 12 now, and I can be as mature as any 15 years old. Anyway, back to the subject, I was playing for pixels. ._. Pixels that I could have drawn myself. I worked so hard for Neopoints, slaving away in front of the computer all the time. Although my grades weren't affected, I began to loose interest in real life. My dad told me that when I was asleep, I would sleep-talk about Neopets. They tried to create a paradise, but what was left was nothing but rubbish. A jail..
What's wrong with linking to other sites? Once, I created a big drawing, and I didn't want to stretch my userlookup, so I tried linking to PHOTOBUCKET. Okay, let me ask you, what harm can a tiny image cause? o.O It wasn't pornography or anything, and I just wanted to post the link to the larger and better
quality version. Oh well. Don't get me started on the coding restrictions. Neopets wants your HTML codes to be PERFECT. Not even an " missing, or they'd classify the code as "invalid" or something. And now it's not even possible to put textboxes with codes others can copy on your pet page. Nice... They want nothing but NEOPETS related things.
Now we have to PAY for more features, it's really not fair, that a premium member would spend 2 hours on the things the free users get in 4 hours. And now there's a merchandise, it's like a big commercial, forcing us to pay them more and more for what they claim to be a free game. They don't spend ANYTHING on making the site better, for example, in a glitch, I lost my 1.6 million Neopoints, not to mention all the items in my Safety Deposit box, which at least totals up to 100k, plus my shop till, which was 40k at that time. Maybe it was a scammer, but likely not, because everything was gone in 5 minutes, which isn't enough time to transfer 1.6 million NP. I spent at least 30-40 hours saving all of that.... .... Okay.
They hardly care about us users now. When I first joined, I sometimes neomailed the TNT with questions and reports of glitches, and usually in 2-3 days, a staff member would answer me. But now, nothing. The rules are overwhelming, like I said, jail. You can't post anything without breaking a rule. Justice? Don't you mean "Just Ice"? They don't look before they ice users, the very users who have and still do support them. In the old days, the community used to be friendly, not anymore. I guess. You can't post anything without someone going "ong i is reprting u!!!!!11". Help chat? Pssht, don't you mean spam heaven?
Another thing with the rules.. A friend of mine put a tiny joke that was "against the rules" in her PRIVATE guild that she shared with like.. 5 of her friends. And guess what? She got frozen, along with all her neopoints, 2 years status, and her will to play..
