I'm a normal Neopets player, just occasionally pop up to play, and then leave again. My affiliation with Neopets has been on, then off, then on again. I have friends at my school who also play, and their also some of my closest neofriends. Of course, Neopets is slowly losing it's attraction.
Despite the fact that I have never actually been addicted, I have a tendency to play ferociously one day, then the next day, forget all about it. I agree with everything you say. Neopets is an evil, oppressive regime.
I have always been attracted to Neopets, but I usually jump around with my friends. Many online games, such as Runescape, Maplestory, and many others, are "free" and "fun" Most are neither free nor fun. Runescape's free edition is useless, not fun, and the graphics, horrible. Maplestory, a step up, though still not fun. The graphics are good though. Neopets is not an exception. Despite a "thriving" website, the website is very much USELESS! People waste away, sitting in front of a computer, trying to make 5 mil for their pets. I'm without my problems, such as being obsessed with games like Halo, Ragnarok Online, Homeworld 2, and dozens of other games. I post on myriads of posts, draw, and do everything that has nothing to do with Neopets. For this I am GLAD! GLAD TNT! GLAD!!!!!
Returning to Neopets, I realize that I'm glad that Neopets could ban me (ice) and my account, but
what's a bunch of coding, pixels, and others! I mean, I have other accounts, USELESS i might add. I use them to make extra Neopoints, avatars, even using one to win a random contest! However, its all worthless. I'm glad I have friends, both in life and in the internet. I, unfortunately, have
asthma, which doesn't allow me to run and play like normal kids, but allows me to be useful in identifying my other strengths.
I had just found your website today, and I'm glad.
