This is a sad tale of neopets, how I got hooked and rehooked, and what I'm doing before it effects me.

It all started at my summer home just a few months. A friend who I had not seen in a while, who is a bit older then me,
came to hang out with me while are parents went out to dinner. Immediately after my mom went out the door, she turned on my
mother's laptop and got on neopets. I sat by her and watched her play till my parents got home, she had a nice account. I thought if I made one, it would be nice too. But I didn't think about it much.
The next day, it rained. Couldn't go out and play. So for a lack of anything better to do, I made a neopets account. It lasted the two days it rained, because the remainder of my trip was sunny and bright. I had things to do.
When I got home in late August, I began to miss neopets. So I made another account. I had a lot of fun on it till I fell for a scam and lost 50k. In my
grief, I self froze. A month of work gone. I made another account (it's called Farhigirl462 if ya wanna take a look). For the two months I've been on, I've made new friends in a great guild, I've turned my Acara to a mutant kougra. I've bought good items. I've chatted on the boards. I entered a perfectly good submission to the neopian times that was rejected for "grammatical errors". But I also managed to get my two closest friends to start playing. Then we got are other friends to play. Now we chat and do things together on neopets. But it's starting to get less fun for me.
Entire fights have broken out between me and my friends over neopets, and I don't like it. I'm getting more
pop-ups then I've ever gotten before. I spend less time on my school work. So I'm quitting. But not just yet. I have to play along with my friends first. They're not ready to handle the truth. I have other people to convince to stop too. And my older brother just recently told me that neopets was bought my some gigantic corporation. I'm pissed.
Neopets, thank you for your time, but I do believe I've overstayed my welcome.
