I'm slowly becoming less and less addicted
Hi, I'm Emily, and I'm 12 years old.
I admit it... I'm addicted to Neopets. Well, somehow I found my way to your site, and looked it over.. and it made me think. "Why AM I always on the site? Why DO I care if I miss a Meuka Pinata in the Toy Shop? What ever happened to my social life?"
See, I used to always be over my friends houses and such. Well, BEFORE I discovered neopets that is.
One day (I was about 9 years old), I was at the mall with my family. I went into Limited Too, and saw this adorable little Doglefox plushie sitting on the shelf. I picked it up, saying "aww... its so cute!" I bought it, and looked at the tag to see what it was.
It said: "Doglefox www.neopets.com"
And I quickly called out, "I'm going to neopets.com when we get home!"
I quickly got addicted, saving for that Doglefox. Eventually I did get it, and painted it Tyrannian. After a while, I made more accounts, and spent time on a new account I'd made, rather than the one with my doglefox. one day I logged into my account with the doglefox (emilyjo9), only to find that.. Its gone. Off my pet. My little doglefox which I, patheticaly, loved so dearly...
I e-mailed NPT, and got no reply. I e-mailed them the next week- no reply. I e mailed them almost every day, and STILL no reply.
So I figured, I'll just wait, maybe it'll show up again.
Of course, it did not.
A few weeks ago, I had 3 lab map pieces. HAD. And then, I look in my inventory, and BOOM! They're ALL GONE. I look in my auctions, trades, SBD, gallery, shop, EVERYWHERE. No map.
I searched through all of my accounts, and sadly found nothing. I e-mailed NPT over and over again with no reply. I was, and still am, furious. What kind of customer service is THIS??
So, now I'm sitting here, writing this, and thinking. I'm much too addicted to Neopets. I need to do other PRODUCTIVE things. Making neopoints or painting my pets on neopets won't get me anywhere in life.
I have a problem. I don't want to quit neopets, just become less addicted. I want to have a social life again. I don't want to spend the day on the computer instead of seeing a cool movie, just because it's Half Price Day on
neopets.
Your site has really helped, thank you VERY much. I'm slowly becoming less and less addicted, and now I'm just... just another user, who doesn't spend hours on the computer for neopets.
Again, thank you. I have a social life now, I'm spending more time with friends and family. if your site wasn't created, I would have been sitting in front of the computer night and day.
