Selling hard to sell buyables
Sometimes you get an item that is hard to sell, even though it's under 100k. You put it in your shop for the cheapest on the entire wiz, but no one buys it. Auctions might be your answer.
Let's say you have a Broken Light Faerie Snowglobe, like in this example. You can't be sure of the actual price, so you price it low, but no one buys. . . . basically cause no one else knows the value. There's only a few on the market, and the prices vary widely.
It's buyable, and you have it as the cheapest on the wiz. No one wants it, and you want to sell it, but it's hard cause they don't want it. Maybe you got it in a trade, or bought it, thinking you could sell it for a profit.
You can either bundle it with other items and do a trade, which also works. I've done that a lot, offer the item with other items/points to get rid of it. The other person checks the wiz (doesn't realize how hard it is to sell) and accepts my offer.
If you are the customer, who is thinking of buying this item, don't. Even if it is offered for 25,000 in this example, as a "cheapest on the wiz". Chances are they tried to sell it for more than 25,000, but no one wanted to buy it, cause the prices are so scattered.
Remember, strangers in neopets aren't out to do you a favor. They wouldn't sell it to you "cheapest on the wiz by 15k" if they could sell it to anyone else at a higher price. If they couldn't sell it at a higher price, chances are you couldn't either. It's tempting yes, an item well below the wiz price, but they are HARD TO SELL. Don't do it unless you plan to waste your points and just have the item sit there and collect dust.
The second thing you can do is put it up for auction.
A lot of people watch the auction board, and search the wiz before bidding. You might put this item up for 35k, and they see it's 5k below the wiz price, they might bid on it, and they think they can make 5k. Little do they know no one would buy it for even 5k below the cheapest wiz price, but at least you sold it. It won't always work, but it will sometimes.
