Games and Freebies

Newbie: "How do I become rich?"
Response: "Play games and get the free stuff"

The reason people in chat rooms answer the question of "how do I be rich" with the answer "play games" is because they don't want you to do the methods I'm going to teach you on this page.  Either that, or they don't even know the methods, and are content with their laughable, miniscule 10,000 - 15,000 points a day in earnings from playing games.

I didn't want to make this, but figured there are a few tips I'd like to share about games.  First of all, there are many sites online that give hints with neopets games.  I suggest you go to those sites if you want to make money playing games and stay poor cause all you're doing is wasting your time playing games.

Just do like a google search for "neopets tips" or "neopets help".  There's tons of tips to those games, but for this site, I'll just post 2 of my favorite games.  Like I said earlier, playing games is not the way to be rich.  It actually helps to have a slower connection if you play games, cause it slows it down the icons in the game, to make it easier for you.  This is the only time on neopets that having a slow connection is an advantage.

I will give you one tip about playing games.  If you have even a decent score, take it.

Like you may get 150 on mercca chase, and you know you could get 300 or more if you concentrate.  Who cares, you already spent a minute playing, might as well take the 150, and do something else later, rather than spending 10 minutes playing 20 times, and getting 3 "perfect" games of 300.  You'll make a whopping 900 points . . . whoopdi-do . . . you should instead spend 3 minutes, play like 5 times, get 3 average scores of like 150 (or 250 if you have a good game), then spend the remaining 7 minutes making points elsewhere.  I know this is a general example, but you get the idea.  Take the average score, rather than spending tons of time getting "perfect scores".

http://www.neopets.com/games/meercachase.phtml (The only game I'll play regularly.  It makes decent points, relative to others.  But the main reason I like it is because I like playing snake on my cell phone, and this is similar)

http://www.neopets.com/medieval/turdleracing.phtml (It's a chance game, bet on number 5, and bet 1,500.  I do this, and overall you will make more than you spend.  You're supposed to feed your turdle a fish pop of any kind, but I've won a lot without feeding it anything.  I found this once at the newsgroup, alt.games.neopets).  I heard from a friend that they downgraded nutty (#5) so it's not as profitable anymore though.

Ok, this is more than I wanted to share about games.  This is the last you will hear about games.  If you do any of the wheel of excitement or chance games, make sure to put your good items in your shop, or trades, or safe deposit box so those ghosts can't steal them.  I honestly feel the more money you have, the less likely you are to win at chance games.  When I had a few thousand, I won tons, now that I have millions, I am lucky to break even.

I think most people already know about these.  I'll just post the links, just in case you don't know them.

http://www.neopets.com/winter/kiosk.phtml (Always get one, every 6 hours max, even if you don't scratch, and I never scratch mines, I sell it.  It costs 600, you can easily sell it for a few hundred more in your shop.)

http://www.neopets.com/faerieland/springs.phtml (Go as many times as you can, I think max is every 45 minutes.  It's not to improve my pet's health or whatever, since I don't care.  It's cause she gives out free potions, which you can sell).
