Bookmarks
IF YOU LEARN ANYTHING FROM THIS SITE, DO THE BOOKMARKS.
It will save you SOO much time. Trust me on this. Bookmark the sites in neopets that you use the most. You can literally save half an hour a day of game time by not having to click on things with your mouse. Rather, just using your speedy bookmarks. Plus it's more accurate than "clicking" with your mouse.
Using bookmarks are the key to speed. Let me show you my bookmarks:

You will have different places that you go to, but basically, the top 35 or so places you use, (quick stock, chat, shop till, auctions 1-20, auctions 21-40, bank, snowager, etc.) should all be bookmarked, and they should all start with a different letter, you'll see.
Anyway, for me, in this example, you can press [ alt - a - v - o ] to get to the shop wizard. If I typed [ alt - a - v - t ] I would get to the shop stock. Try it, it's pretty cool. It's better than clicking on the "shops" picture, then clicking on the shop wizard hat.
Make sure that every letter is unique. If you have 2 folders or bookmarks that start with "V", then this won't work. (I use "V" since it's a strong letter, you use your index finger, but you can use "F" or whatever you are comfortable with to do an alt - a - (letter).
If you have two bookmarks that start with the same letter, it will not work. Say you have "neopets shops" and "neopets auctions", since they both start with the letter "n", it will not go to either. It does not know which you want to go to, so it will toggle between both of them . . . make the bookmarks unique when it comes to the first letter.
This is basically how it works: Hitting alt will show you the letters of the tool bar. alt - f will
take you to the file menu, alt - e for the edit menu. If you hit alt - a,
that brings you to the favorites. Then it's all a matter of labeling the
bookmarks . . . I suggest you use the letters on the left of your keyboard
(qwert,asdfg,zxcvb,12345) for things you plan to use the most.
It doesn't have to match up, like you could use "s" for "shop
wiz", but you can use "r" for shop wiz and "s" for
"newest 20 trades". It really doesn't matter because trust me,
after a while, your fingers will get used to it.
Using the keyboard, it takes 1 second. Using a mouse, it takes like 5 seconds. Not only do you have to move your mouse about 8 inches across the screen to click on 2 things, but you have to wait for the first page to load before you can click on anything, to take you to the second page.
Just to let you know, if I can use my keyboard or mouse in neopets, I always use my keyboard. You can even make neopets your regular bookmarks, like not put it in a folder, and just do [ alt - a - letter ] and bam! You got to a page. Easy yeah?
Here's a complete list of places I have bookmarked. You might want to bookmark them too, or at least some of them.

Also, I have a few shops bookmarked of other people, to compare prices if we sell the same thing, and the 3 blank lookups below.
While we're talking about buttons, F6 brings you to the address bar. I bookmarked these:
http://www.neopets.com/randomfriend.phtml?user=
(user lookup)
http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner= (shop lookup)
http://www.neopets.com/island/tradingpost.phtml?type=browse&criteria=owner&search_string=
(TP lookup)
These are blanks, and very helpful.
Ok, here's how I do this. If I wanted to look at theseus51 and his lame ass shop, I would go to the second one, since it's already bookmarked. Then hit F6 to bring it to the address bar. Then hit the "end" button, to bring my cursor to the end of the address. Then type in his name . . . faster than clicking on theseus51's userlookup, then clicking on shop yeah? I generally only do this if it's being super laggy, and I need to get there fast for whatever reason, and the person has a short name. For a full demonstration, go to Being the first in the shop of a Buyable Unbuyable for an example.
